PHOTO : Deep-sea submersible to observe eels spawning
Photo shows the manned submersible vessel Shinkai 6500 in Suruga Bay in April 2012. A Japanese team of researchers said on May 17, 2012, that they will put the submersible into deep-sea waters in the Pacific near Guam in July 2012 to conduct ecological studies on Japanese eels.
