Mitsubishi Electric Unveils Sixth-generation MPD Series of IGBT Modules
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) announced today its Sixth-generation Mega Power Dual (MPD) Series of three insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules. The modules, which are for use in power converters, mainly those in large-capacity photovoltaic (PV) and wind power-generation systems, also are suitable for high-power applications in large-capacity inverters and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for industrial equipment.

Mitsubishi Electric Develops 14GHz Power Amplifier with World's Highest Output Power for Satellite Communications
Mitsubishi Electric announced it has developed a prototype gallium nitride high-electron mobility transistor (GaN HEMT) amplifier with a world-leading (as of April 25, 2012) 100W output power for Ku-band (14GHz) satellite communications. The amplifier is expected to contribute to smaller and lighter transmitters for terrestrial stations used in satellite communications.

Mitsubishi Electriphobia Institute cures EV anxiety
Vowing to eradicate any lingering anxieties of electric vehicles, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) is launching its tongue-in-cheek Electriphobia Research Institute at the 2012 Green Living Show.
The fictitious "Institute" pokes fun at common misperceptions about electric cars and aims to rid Canadians of "the shocking new fear sweeping the nation." A unique approach to electric vehicle (EV) awareness, "Electriphobia" is a web-based campaign that will debut on April 16 - highlights were showcased for media today at North America's largest green consumer show.

New York Auto Show 2012 : 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
The entire front fascia of the 2013 Outlander Sport has been completely made over versus last year's model. The signature pronounced, trapezoidal grille opening and recessed fog lamp housings are still present, but now feature a new, more simple and clean shape. Another appealing detail is the new chrome trim surrounding the outer perimeter of the recessed fog lamps.

Mitsubishi to double production at Illinois plant
Mitsubishi Motors North America will be cranking up production at its Normal, Illinois plant.
The plant will be making Outlander Sport models intended for export from the U.S. to markets like Russia and Latin America.
The company's plan to start making the compact SUV at the Illinois plant is a move to boost capacity.

Mitsubishi Mirage is back in production
Mitsubishi Motors Corp. unveiled its new Mirage "global compact car" on March 20 in Thailand, where the car is made, after being out of production for 12 years.
From 2000 through 2011, Mitsubishi ceased production of the vehicle.
The Japanese automaker will release the subcompact in Thailand on March 28 and plans to export the vehicles to other parts of Southeast Asia and Europe. The car is also expected to hit Japanese streets this summer.
