The two meet when Keisuke Tada (Eita) loses a chihuahua he was dogsitting for a client. Desperate to find the canine, he hunts high and low and finally sees a man holding the dog in his arms at a bus stop.
It turns out to be an old classmate from his junior high school, named Haruhiko Gyoten (Ryuhei Matsuda), who happens to be down on his luck.
Gyoten begs Tada to let him stay for the night. Tada reluctantly agrees, only to find that Gyoten plans to stick around, along with the chihuahua.
Work is not easy, especially when they must deal with prostitutes, drug dealers and gangsters. But Tada and Gyoten try to keep their customers satisfied in their own offbeat ways. Behind their struggles lies the question, what is truly important in life when people are less and less involved with others?
Tada and Gyoten work together to help the people they meet cope with their bitter past and find hope.
This offbeat comedy ends optimistically, showing that happiness can regenerate itself and comes in many forms.
