The minivan rammed into the seven people in their 20s to 70s around 1:45 p.m. before crashing into a truck and finally coming to a stop in an area dotted with houses and shops in Nishinari Ward in the western Japan city, the police said, adding they arrested the driver on the spot.
The incident came after two people were killed in a stabbing rampage earlier this month in Osaka's Chuo Ward.
Six men and a woman were injured when stuck by a runaway minivan on a street in Osaka on Tuesday afternoon, local police and a fire department said.
