Nissan North America (NNA) today announced the appointment of Stratacomm, LLC as its public relations agency of record (AOR). Following a competitive bid process, Nissan chose Stratacomm to provide strategic counsel and a comprehensive array of communications services in support of Nissan’s U.S.-based initiatives.
Key areas of focus include media relations, thought leadership and event and program management to help advance consumer awareness and preference for the Nissan brand across the United States. In 2011, Nissan advanced to become the No. 2 Asian brand in the Americas while reporting record sales and market share across the region encompassing North, Central and South America. Most recently, Nissan’s exposure in the region has been heightened through increased emphasis on public-relations and social-media activation, particularly in the United States, and the appointment of Stratacomm as AOR will further amplify those efforts. “Nissan is clearly winning in the marketplace, so now is the ideal time to be more vocal in telling our story and with increased frequency,” said David Reuter, vice president, Corporate Communications, Nissan Americas. “We are excited to partner with Stratacomm to intensify Nissan’s communications efforts and further expose our story to a greater audience.” Stratacomm was chosen as AOR due to the agency’s extensive automotive experience with domestic and international manufacturers, suppliers, dealer groups, associations, analyst firms and government agencies. This wide, but deep expertise gives the agency’s team a 360-degree view of the automotive and manufacturing landscape, complemented by a 15-year history of building and sustaining relationships with top tier media and influencers. “Nissan has a great and growing story to tell – and Stratacomm looks forward to helping tell it,” said John Fitzpatrick, Senior Partner with the firm. “The start of our partnership is both exciting and well-timed as Nissan continues to shake up the U.S. market and drive innovation for all with 20 new vehicles debuting in the next 24 months including the all-new Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Altima and New York City’s Taxi of Tomorrow. We look forward to forging a trusted and successful relationship with Nissan in the months and years ahead.”
